Yuga Endorses Auction.ph's AdAuction

Last May 15, 2007, Abe Olandres, aka "Yuga" formally expressed his support for Auction.ph's AdAuction by signing as an endorser. This move is specifically aimed to further improve AdAuction's features by getting inputs from local bloggers, and to assist in establishing AdAuction's presence in the blogosphere.

But why Abe Olandres? Who is he? Well, simply put, he is a designer, a developer, a blog entrepreneur... now happily blogging his way from rags to riches.

Yuga is arguably one of the most prominent and influential bloggers in the country today. Having a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry and Computer Engineering from Ateneo De Manila University, Yuga worked as an E-Learning Developer for Microsoft Great Plains Business Solutions, and as a Senior Associate at HeadStrong. He started blogging as early as 2000, and is now running a web hosting business for more than three years now called plogHost. Yuga has built his blogging success story as the chronicler of the Filipino blogosphere with his "The Philippines According to Blogs” and the Pinoy Top Blogs Project.

Yuga is managing several blogs including his personal blog called "Yugatech," where companies like Smart Communications and Globe Telecom, and recently Krispy Kreme, are hoping that he would at least mention their products or services through his blog. With at least 3,000 readers a day, Yuga is a heavyweight in the Philippine blogosphere. He has been doing product reviews (mostly technology and gadgets) and endorsements, which he considers as advertising.

Of the existing affiliate marketing programs in the net, one has to wonder why AdAuction? Abe says one of the main reasons why he went on board with this arrangement is the fact that Auction.Ph management is open to suggestions on how to improve/enhance their affiliate system to give more monetization avenues for publishers. This will help them get more members to join the AdAuction, more affiliate publishers to sign up, and more ways to make money for bloggers like us. The great thing about this is that it's a local site with a local target market so we're more likely to get more conversions than the other international ones.

He further elaborates, "Auction.ph brings us a local taste of what the future of e-commerce in the Philippines will be in the next decade. Coupled with the AdAuction program for bloggers and publishers, I'm confident that we're slowly seeing the evolution of e-commerce in the country."

With this endorsement, AdAuction's message to local bloggers will now have a medium in Abe Olandres. For more details, visit www.yugatech.com
